Forest Business Career Paths
The Langdale Center for Forest Business MFR degree combines business and forestry knowledge to prepare individuals for a host of career options in forest business. This non-thesis graduate degree includes coursework split between the University of Georgia’s Warnell School of Forestry & Natural Resources, Terry College of Business, and other disciplines. The MS and PhD degrees allow students to specialize in specific areas of forest business.
Regardless of the degree, the Center for Forest Business advanced forestry and graduate-level business coursework prepares students for a rewarding and challenging career. The opportunities for our Center for Forest Business graduates are wide-ranging and the areas outlined below are by no means all-encompassing. Graduates are also found in policy positions, academia, or even outside of the industry altogether. In recent years, 98% of our graduates have found jobs or continued their education within six months of graduation. Companies that employ our graduates regularly attend career fair and networking events at Warnell to meet with students, and post internship and full-time job opportunities on Warnell’s job board.
