MFR in Forest Business Management – Degree Requirements

The requirements for the non-thesis degree of Master of Forest Resources are met by the completion of an approved program of a minimum of 33 semester hours of graduate course work, of which 13 semester hours must be in courses taken inside the Warnell School of Forest Resources and 9 semester hours must be in courses taken outside of Warnell.

There are 5 prerequisite courses that must be completed before or during the MFR program. In addition to the prerequisite requirements, MFR students complete at least 33 hours of semester course work in three major areas: Forest Business Core, Forest Business Electives, and Other Electives. Most students choose to take Terry College of Business courses to satisfy the Other Electives requirements. Qualifying courses are listed below. In addition, students must pass a final oral examination.
