2. What has a degree from the Langdale Center for Forest Business meant to your career as well as your personal development?

I have the confidence to take on a problem, call on others for assistance and guidance, develop a solution and see it through completion. I also seek to use my skills and time to assist those in my community and increase awareness of the benefits our forests provide.

3. What one piece of advice do you have for students as they navigate graduate school and look for employment in the forestry industry?

Differentiate yourself, challenge yourself, and be an advocate for yourself and those around you. Be willing to take on problems and work to find results.  Grad school is an incredible place to take on a challenge, work hard, and learn about yourself. It is also an enormous endeavor, spend your time and carry yourself in a manner that allows others to see you as a resource and a partner. Make yourself proud to be committing your time to improving yourself and preparing for the next step in your journey.
